Ain Shams Journal of Media Research Receives Full Marks (7 Points) in the Supreme Council of Universities' 2026 Evaluation
The Faculty of Mass Communication at Ain Shams University has achieved a new scientific milestone with the Ain Shams journal of Media Research receiving a perfect score (7 points) in the 2026 evaluation of scientific journals issued by the Supreme Council of Universities. This reflects the prestigious academic standing the journal enjoys after only its third issue, its commitment to the highest standards of quality in scientific publishing, and its leadership in publishing peer-reviewed scientific research in the field of media.
This achievement comes under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research.
The journal's attainment of the highest rating from the Supreme Council of Universities confirms its success in establishing itself as a leading scientific platform that attracts distinguished research, contributes to supporting researchers' scholarly output, and enriches media studies, thus serving societal issues and keeping pace with the rapid developments in the fields of media and communication.
The editorial board of the Ain Shams journal of Media Research comprises a distinguished group of specialized professors, headed by Prof. Heba Shaheen, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication at Ain Shams University, as Editor-in-Chief. The board also includes the Deputy Editors-in-Chief: Professor Dr. El-Sayed Bahnasy, Professor of Marketing Communications at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Ain Shams University; Prof. Salwa Suleiman, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Ahmed Farouk Radwan, Professor of Public Relations and Advertising at the University of Sharjah; and Prof. Amani Albert, Head of the Public Relations and Advertising Department at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Beni Suef University.
Dr. Flora Ikram, Assistant Professor in thejournalism Department at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Ain Shams University, serves as Managing Editor, while Dr. Menna Abdel Hamid, Assistant Professor in the Marketing Communications Department at the same faculty, serves as Art Director. Dr. Marwa Saeed, Lecturer in the Journalism Department at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Ain Shams University, serves as Editorial Secretary.
