Dr. Hany Mahmoud of the Faculty of Law Wins the 2026 “Family and Digital Transformation” Award from the Center for Family Studies and Research in Values and Law in Casablanca

Ain Shams University has achieved a new academic and cultural milestone, adding to its record of excellence, with Dr. Hany Mahmoud Hassan Ahmed, Lecturer in the Department of Islamic Sharia at the Faculty of Law, winning the “Family and Digital Transformation” Award granted by the Center for Family Studies and Research in Values and Law in Casablanca, Kingdom of Morocco. This achievement is the result of rigorous scientific research and sustained efforts to explore the future of the family amid rapid technological transformations, highlighting the importance of balancing the requirements of digitalization with ethical and legal considerations.

The Scientific Research Award in Family Studies is an initiative aimed at encouraging scholarly research in family-related fields and advancing social studies through monitoring social phenomena and analyzing value transformations. It also supports legal and social studies by deepening academic engagement and motivating researchers to address family issues from their legal, ethical, social, health, and political dimensions.

The Center for Family Studies and Research in Values and Law is a scientific institution based in Casablanca that focuses on issues related to family, women, and children. It seeks to promote family stability through scientific research and community partnerships and annually grants awards in this field.

Dr. Hany Mahmoud Hassan is a specialist in the Principles of Islamic Jurisprudence and Contemporary Islamic Studies. He has made numerous academic and research contributions through publishing peer-reviewed studies and participating in local and international conferences, with a particular interest in digital transformation and artificial intelligence in Islamic jurisprudence. He has also received several prestigious academic awards, most notably the “Family and Digital Transformation” Award and the Mohamed Shawky El-Fangary Endowment Award in Islamic Studies.
