The Faculty of Business Continues Its International Leadership Within the Framework of the “Erasmus+ Programme” and Welcomes the Professor of Green Accounting from Nysa University

In a strategic step reflecting the tireless efforts of Ain Shams University to strengthen its position on the international higher education map and build strong partnership bridges with leading European academic institutions, the Faculty of Commerce welcomed on Sunday, May 24, 2026, Professor Dr. “Marta Targowicz,” Professor of Financial Accounting and Green Accounting at the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa, as part of the activities of the European academic exchange program “Erasmus+ Programme.”

The visit was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University; Prof. Farid Moharam El-Garhy, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce; and Prof. Sherweit El-Ahmady, Executive Director of the University’s International Relations and Academic Collaboration Sector.

The activities were jointly organized by the University’s International Relations Sector and the Grants and Projects Administration headed by Professor Hoda Sawiya, along with the European Union Program Office represented by Dr. Noha El-Rafaei, in implementation of the scientific and cultural cooperation agreement between the two universities, which includes the development of postgraduate programs and the exchange of students, researchers, and faculty staff.

At the beginning of the visit, an official meeting was held at the office of Prof. Tamer Radi, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, in the presence of Prof. Mohamed Morsi, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Mona El-Taher, Director of the International Cooperation Unit; and Ms. Noha Morsi, Coordinator of the Faculty’s Grants and Projects Administration.

The meeting featured fruitful discussions on ways to develop future scientific partnerships, with the participation of Dr. Eman Abdel Salam, Academic Coordinator of the French-language study program, who presented a distinguished vision on prospects for Francophone academic cooperation, alongside Dr. Hesham Abdel Aziz, Academic Coordinator of Interdisciplinary Programs, who reviewed opportunities for designing innovative scientific specializations integrating multiple fields of study.

On the sidelines of the visit, Dr. Targowicz conducted an extensive inspection tour across the Faculty of Commerce, including modern lecture halls, central libraries, and various academic departments.

         
   
         

The visiting professor expressed her great admiration for the modernity and diversity of the academic programs offered, praising the faculty’s significant educational and research capabilities.

         
   
         

The French Section also received special praise following her attendance at an interactive student presentation, where she commended the innovative educational experiences and the students’ exceptional ability to integrate multiple languages and cultures within the learning environment, reflecting an academic standard comparable to international benchmarks.

         
     
         

These activities fall within the expansion vision of the Faculty of Business at Ain Shams University toward the “internationalization of education” and opening new horizons for joint research projects with European partners, contributing to enhancing the quality of scientific research and preparing graduates capable of competing strongly in the international labor market.
