The Board of Trustees of Ain Shams National University held its first meeting, chaired by Prof. Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health and Prevention Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University, and in the presence of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams Governmental University and in charge of running the affairs of the National University, Prof. Suzanne El-Qalini, former Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University, member of the National Council for Women and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University, Prof. Mohamed Salehien, Vice President of the National University for Academic Affairs, and with the participation of the gentlemen members of the Board of Trustees.

The session included extensive discussions on the university's legal and executive framework, as well as a review of the joint cooperation protocol between Ain Shams University (a public university) and the national university. This reflects the integration of long-standing academic expertise with the private university's modern, forward-looking vision.
The council also discussed the university's temporary organizational structure, pending its full relocation to its official campus within the "Learning and Innovation Valley" in the New Administrative Capital, one of the most prominent smart educational projects in Egypt and the region.
Regarding academic programs, the council reviewed the approved curricula from the relevant sector committees, which include a range of advanced, future-oriented specializations such as medicine and surgery, digital manufacturing, autonomous robotics, cybersecurity, digital marketing, and financial technology. This underscores the university's commitment to preparing graduates capable of competing in the global labor market.

The council also reviewed the implementation status of the university's commencement of studies, which began in the first semester of the 2025-2026 academic year, and discussed admission policies, capacity, and the study timeline for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year.
The Board of Trustees concluded its meeting by emphasizing the importance of expanding international strategic partnerships and attracting global academic expertise. This supports Ain Shams University's vision of providing smart, advanced university education with world-class standards on Egyptian soil, and reinforces its position as a leading university in building future generations.
