Recommendations of the Humanities and Social Sciences Sector

- Work to change cultures at different levels (global - national - organizational - individual) to be oriented towards supporting sustainable development and reducing the negative effects on climate change, through the adoption of many mechanisms and initiatives such as incentives and tax exemptions, green financing, green economy, recycling, green bonds, green marketing, environmentally friendly products, and more.

- Public and private institutions adopt a preferential strategy for projects that support programs to mitigate the effects of climate change or adapt to it in order to achieve sustainable economic growth and development with low carbon emissions.

- Orientation towards scientific research that adopts the study of the interrelationships and interactions between climate and sustainable changes and their effects on the economies of different countries on the one hand, and on the other hand the expected effects of industrial and service practices in those economies, especially the developing ones, on achieving sustainability and global climate changes.

- Adopting a national strategy for sustainable development that takes into account the relationships of influence and vulnerability that exist between man, society, the economy, and the environment, with an emphasis on achieving sustainable development and reducing the negative effects on climate change, it is not the responsibility of a specific entity or sector, but rather a participatory responsibility - not a competitive one - for all governmental and non-governmental organizations at the local, national and global levels.

- A shift in the implementation of sustainable development strategies from moving towards projects with quick, short-term returns to long-term investments with accumulated returns in line with the nature of projects and programs that aim to preserve the environment and reduce the negative effects on climate change.

- Not relying solely on adopting successful global models and practices in achieving sustainable development, but there must be models and practices of a local and national nature that are in line with global frameworks.

- Emphasizing the important role that educational and scientific research institutions, especially universities, can play in achieving sustainable development through education and research activities by spreading environmental awareness, creativity and innovation, entrepreneurship, and social responsibility.

- Work to bring about the required changes in legislative frameworks and laws to support practices oriented towards sustainable development and preserving the global climate, such as clean energy, clean production, digitization, recycling, transparency and disclosure, justice, and equal opportunities.

- The need to develop a long-term marketing plan for postgraduate programs at the local and regional levels, in line with the requirements of the new republic.

- The human-building axis, which connects all human concepts and innovations, will be a main axis in student activities, graduation projects, and research for Ain Shams University students at the undergraduate level over the coming years, and one of the human values can be adopted annually as a slogan for this axis, provided that all forms of different activities are linked to their returns on upholding that value.

- Introducing the International Literature course as a university requirement in which the student studies excerpts from the various international works of literature "in Arabic or in one of the European languages" that establish sublime human values such as goodness, beauty, responsibility, commitment, respect for others, and hard work.

- Human studies are integrated with science and technology in order to serve people. Therefore, it is necessary to support cooperation between theoretical and practical faculties to activate inter-studies and to convert some research in theoretical fields into applied projects, each according to his specialization.

- Establishing communication networks and a database that occurs periodically in each discipline separately, bringing together academics with non-academics, and holding periodic meetings with them to reduce the gap between academics and researchers on the one hand, and between stakeholders on the other hand, especially in the field of humanities and social sciences.

- Establishing an intermediate research center between the university and industry, whose mission is to strengthen the links between research and the needs of society and industry, and to encourage such research and fund it, each in its field.

- Creating a database of research and scientific theses in the fields of antiquities in Egypt throughout the ages.

- The importance of developing plans to face emergency changes and save the threatened antiquities, whether as a result of natural or human disasters.

- The need to increase community awareness of antiquities and heritage, especially in the community surrounding the university.

- Emphasizing the need to study climate change and its relationship to the impacts, with the development of short, medium, and long-term plans to confront the effects of climate change in the recent period.

- Appointing the first students with hearing disabilities as sign language interpreters.

- Cooperate with the e-learning center to create a distance learning platform that is compatible with the characteristics of people with special needs.
