With the cost of 100 million pounds ... The opening of the first stage of the combined operations suite at Demerdash University Hospital

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University Inaugurated the first phase of the combined operations suite at Al-Demerdash University Hospital, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Abdel Wahab Ezzat, Former President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh Director of University Hospitals, Prof. Dr. Samia Abdo, Deputy Director of Hospitals and a number of managers of university hospitals and heads of departments, doctors and administrators from various departments of quality, safety, civil health and civil defense and others and a number of representatives of engineering companies implementing the project.

During his speech, Prof. Dr. El-Metini, confirmed that the first phase of the project took nearly three years to overcome many difficulties and overcome many challenges, he praised the efforts of the National Bank, which supported the project with 50 million pounds and the other 50 million pounds.

He added that the first stage has 11 operating theaters, including 7 operating rooms operating the capsule system, which is the latest international systems in the standard operating theater standards, which includes central air conditioning system works by air purification by almost 100%, which reduces the level of infection within the operations to less to the extent possible, the operating wing has also been linked to the central sterilization wing, separating the waste streams from the operating theater.

Prof. Dr. Abdel Wahab Ezzat pointed out that the success of the work at Ain Shams University is due to its implementation of an institutional work system based on the transfer of experiences and the completion of each department to the efforts of the previous administration; which achieve the element of continuity.

He stressed that the system in place in the operating rooms of Demerdash far exceeds that applied in major private hospitals.

Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh explained that the project aims to develop 21 operating room, which has been completed from the first phase, which includes 11 operating room, to start work in the second phase to develop 10 operating room, stressing that they will all work by capsule system. He pointed out that the development takes place as expected from the latest systems until 2040.

Prof. Dr. Tarek Youssef reviewed the developments and gave a full explanation of what was the previous situation and the situation after the development.

He stressed that the new operating room system has been training all medical staff of doctors, nursing and technicians as well as staff and administrators, to ensure optimal use of it.

Mrs. Nermin Shehab El-Din pointed out that the community service sector in the National Bank has contributed an estimated LE 208 million since the beginning of cooperation with Ain Shams University to date, pointing out that the continuation of cooperation is due to the seriousness and real desire of the bank management to serve the country and the citizen, even Every citizen receives the best free health care.

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini emphasized that Ain Shams University will continue its efforts to become the Demerdash and Emergency Hospital as the ideal model for Ain Shams University for health service.
