The opening of applying for the winter training camp of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Ain Shams University under the title “Sustainable Innovation and Industry 4.0”

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Ain Shams University (ASU-iHub) announced the opening of applications for the winter training camp under the title “Sustainable Innovation and Industry 4.0,” which will be held from January 29 to February 9, 2024. The camp is considered one of the activities of the ISI4Egypt program, which is a program that lasts for three years between the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Ain Shams University and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at the Technical University of Berlin.

The camp aims to promote the culture of entrepreneurship, provide participants with the skills required by the Egyptian industry, and promote dialogue between cultures. The camp brings together students from both countries, Egypt and Germany, by presenting educational topics in the field of innovation, sustainability, innovation management, intellectual property, and other relevant topics related to Industry 4.0 through working on real-life innovation business cases that address sustainability issues from a comprehensive and practical perspective with the support of project and industry partners, the camp offers a combination of lectures from trainers with different expertise, group work within teams, mentoring sessions and field visits, making it a complete and diverse program.

The camp will cover a set of exercises, such as the basics of design thinking - introduction to industry in the fourth generation 0.4 - sustainability - basics of marketing and finance - the initial business model.

The camp targets the graduates of Ain Shams University between 2020 and 2023 and final year students. The duration of the camp is 9 days divided between online lectures and lectures at the center’s headquarters. At the end of the camp, each team will present a real problem and the proposed solution to address it.
