The Dean of the Faculty of Arts honors the top graduates of the 2022 and 2023 batches

Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, honored the top students of the 2021/2022 batch and the 2022/2023 batch, at an academic ceremony, in the faculty’s conference hall and under the supervision of Prof. Muhammad Ibrahim, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, in the presence of the Faculty Vice Deans, Prof. Hatem Rabie, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Hanan Muhammad Salem, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development, and the distinguished heads of departments and parents of the graduates.

In her speech, Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty, expressed her happiness in honoring the new graduates from 16 departments in the Faculty, on this day that culminates the efforts that they have made during the four years, she welcomed the new teaching assistants who were chosen to join the academic field, in accordance with the rules and regulations, she also urged the top and distinguished graduates to continue striving diligently to obtain job opportunities worthy of their distinguished abilities and experience in all fields, and the importance of working towards enrolling in postgraduate studies and striving to obtain a master’s and doctorate.

She pointed out that parents are a common denominator, as they bear the burdens of success, and today their success and diligence in supporting their children are crowned with this honor. She also pointed out that the Faculty of Arts has produced a large number of writers, scholars, artists, and celebrities in all fields. It has a strong repertoire of distinguished faculty staff at the academic and practical levels.

For his part, Prof. Hatem Rabie, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies, expressed his pride and happiness in being present in this special celebration that accommodates the trio of the educational process: the professor, the student, the parents or the supporter from the graduate’s family. Today we are reaping the fatigue of this interconnected triangle, throughout the four years. We are honored to have you as our colleagues in the auxiliary body team for you to be promoted to academic positions, and for you to pass the next stages as quickly as possible, each according to his or her diligence. He also urged them to pursue the scholarships and scientific scholarships offered by both the Ministry of Higher Education and Ain Shams University to outstanding students.

Prof. Hanan Muhammad Salem, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, began her speech from her role as a mother, describing the joy of parents for their children as multiplying the joy of the children themselves hundreds of times, as well as the feeling of sadness for failure, God forbid.

She also urged the topgraduates to be ambassadors in their positions as teaching assistants and future professors, and they must convey to the students the enthusiastic spirit and positive feelings, and tell them that the path to success requires a degree of toil, fatigue, and perseverance.

Prof. Hanan Kamel honored Mrs. Al-Shaima Saeed Eid Al-Aziz, Director of the Graduate Affairs Department, for her excellence in managing the distinguished and diligent work team and their leadership in commitment and accuracy in the deadlines for submitting graduation certificates.

The Dean of the Faculty also thanked the members of the Public Relations Department and everyone who contributed to directing the ceremony in a manner befitting the distinguished graduates of the Faculty of Arts.

The Dean of the Faculty also honored Prof. Nagham Osama Jameel, a graduate of the Class of 2023 from the Department of Communication and Media Sciences, for her excellence and volunteer effort in presenting the ceremony.

The graduates were keen to take memorial photos with the faculty leaders.
