The meeting of the graduates of the Italian Language Department with faculty staff and students of the third and fourth years of the Faculty of Al-Alsun

The Italian Language Department at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, at Ain Shams University, organized a meeting day with the graduates, under the auspices of Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, Ain Shams University Alumni Association, Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector, Alumni Follow-up Unit and Vocational Training, and in the presence of faculty staff in the department: Prof. Suzan Badie Iskandar, Professor of Literature Emeritus at the Department, Dr. Imad Al-Baghdadi, full-time professor of linguistics in the department, and Dr. Mervat Al-Sharif and Prof. Fawzi Issa and Dr. Thamar Mustafa and Dr. Nermin Wajih and Dr. Nadine Makram Wasef, teacher of Italian literature and coordinator of the Bachelor of Languages ​​program in Italian language and literature in the department, and some of the teaching assistants who participated in organizing the meeting.

During her speech, Prof. Marwa Tantawy, Professor of Italian Literature and Head of the Italian Language Department, welcomed the guests, and expressed her happiness at this meeting, which includes a group of the most prominent graduates who have held prestigious positions in various fields and include generations far apart in time, but they are linked by the main house that influenced their working lives, and she expressed her gratitude For their interest in sharing their experiences to new students.

And Prof. Imad Al-Baghdadi spoke with reference to the long history of the department and the Faculty of Al-Alsun, the role of the Faculty of Al-Alsun in translation, its role in society, the goal for which it was established, and its role in forming a bridge between different cultures and transferring sciences to the Arabic language. He also added the importance of training the student at the level of language and culture.

Dr. Nadine Makram presented a short video that includes the history of the Italian Language Department and its points of distinction from the diversity of scientific schools for its faculty staff, the excellence of its graduates, and the participation of its students in various activities, which culminated in the program applying for program accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation.

Mrs. Marwa Abdel Moneim, Executive Director of Orange Business Administration, a graduate of the department and a member of the Board of Directors of the Bachelor of Al-Alsun program in Italian Language and Literature, spoke about the importance of self-learning and continuous work to build experiences.

Mrs. Iman Saeed Ghoneim, a teacher and presenter of educational programs, talked about her experience in teaching Italian in the field of pre-university education, and indicated the importance of the General Diploma in Education to work in the field of teaching.

Mr. Amir Al-Zayyat, director of a tourism company, participated in talking about their experiences in the fields of tourism and talked about the importance of the tourism guide diploma and good knowledge of the Egyptian history of working in tourism, and that tourism is now witnessing an activity stage.

In the field of media, Dr. Samia Abu Al-Nasr, assistant editor-in-chief of Al-Ahram newspaper, spoke, and Mr. Osama Fawzi, a teacher and director of the Misr Now Foundation for Development spoke in the field of secondary education, .

The meeting was attended by graduates of the department from different batches that extended from 1979 until the last batch in 2022. Among the attendees was Mrs. Ahlam Ali Ahmed Abu Al-Saud, senior teacher of the National Center for Examinations and Educational Evaluation Forum, in addition to a group of graduates in the fields of translation, economics, management, teaching, tourism and public relations.

The graduates of the department presented their experiences in the labor market and how to overcome the difficulties they encountered. Most of the interventions emphasized the interest of the work fields in evaluating the good behavior of the applicant and respecting the senior, which is no less important than excellence in language and other skills. The graduates finally responded to the students' questions and inquiries, emphasizing the importance of self-learning and skill development before looking for financial income.
