"Model of the African Union" is the second model in the festival of closing simulations for students of Ain Shams University

The final session of the African Union Simulation Model was held as part of the closing ceremony of the simulation models for Ain Shams University students organized by the University Students Union under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Abdel Wahab Ezzat, President of the University and Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.

The students were represented by a press conference held by the African Union simulation model, representing a number of African countries: Egypt, Algeria, Angola, Madagascar, Zambia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania, Nigeria, Niger and Cameroon. The meeting was translated in English and Portuguese.

The students reviewed the most important challenges of the continent from the problems of poverty and ignorance, the spread of diseases and malnutrition, the problem of water shortage, drought and low educational level. Representatives of Egypt and Algeria presented the project proposal for African development convoys, how to apply it in spreading education and small crafts in African countries, especially that the illiteracy rate in the continent exceeds 38% and reaches in some countries to 73%.

The representatives of Angola and Madagascar are also involved in proposing a malaria response model for the continent, where 219 million people are infected, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).

The representative of the State of Tanzania presented the selective wheat breeding project to eliminate the problem of hunger. The representative of the State of Zambia proposed a three-phase plan for the project, which would eventually lead to the cultivation of most of the continent's territory.

The representatives of the Niger and Nigeria countries presented the proposal of the project of water purification plants using adsorption technology along the coast of the continent, which extends in 25 countries of the continent, which contributes to solving the problem of drought.

The latest proposal for representatives of the two countries of Cameroon and the Democratic Republic of Congo was the recycling of plastic waste.

At the end of the session, Shaima Abdella represented of political parties and Mr. Tarek Ahmed honored the Students participating in the African Union Simulation Model.
