Joint cooperation between the National Council for Human Rights and Ain Shams University

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Matini, President of Ain Shams University, issued a decision to form a committee to develop proposals to enhance aspects of cooperation between Ain Shams University and the National Council for Human Rights. The committee is headed by Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir Zaki, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector, and includes: Dr. Sahar Moussa, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Gehan Ragab, Advisor to the Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Dahoum, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law for Environmental Service and Development Affairs, Prof. Dr. Samia Abdo, Deputy Executive Director of University Hospitals, Prof. Dr. Sherweit Al-Ahmadi, Director of Expatriates Department in the International Cooperation Sector, Dr. Nora Essa Zakaria, Lecturer in the Department of Public Law, Faculty of Law.

         
   
         

In this regard, Prof. Dr. Shahera Samir, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector and Chairman of the Committee, in the presence of the Committee members, received a delegation from the National Council for Human Rights that included Mr. Samira Luka, member of the National Council for Human Rights and head of the first sector of dialogue in the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services and Mr. Abdel-Gawad Ahmed, member of the National Council for Human Rights, president of the Arab Council for Human Rights, and assistant secretary of the Arab Lawyers Union.

During the meeting, they discussed the steps for signing a cooperation protocol between the university and the council to promote a culture of human rights among university students to prepare a new generation of ambassadors in the field of human rights by holding a set of activities and events for students that are in line with the broad outlines of the national strategy for human rights.
