Optimal use of patent information in the pharmaceutical field ... A seminar at the Faculty of Pharmacy

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Amani Osama Kamel, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Prof. Dr. Reem Al-Kabariti, Director of Alumni Department at the university and general supervisor of the Alumni Association of the university, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Maha Nasr, Assistant Professor at the Department of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy and Director of the Department of International Relations and Academic Cooperation at the faculty, a symposium was held on "The Optimal Use of Patent Information in the Pharmaceutical Field", during which Dr. Eman Saleh a pharmaceutical patent examiner at the Egyptian Patent Office and an intellectual property rights trainer at the National Academy of Intellectual Property in Egypt.

         
   
         

Dr. Eman Saleh explained the role of the patent office and how it aims to serve the community, especially in the pharmaceutical field, and about the steps for obtaining patents and how the patent system balances the rights of the inventor and the community's right to know information about the invention.

         
   
         

The seminar was within the framework of a series of Meet our Alumni symposia held by the faculty during the academic year 2021/2022, which aims to enrich the research and knowledge experiences of faculty members and students, and prepare students for the labor market in the presence of many new fields of work.

         
     
         

The seminar was presented via the zoom application and also by displaying it on the interactive screens in the stands, in the presence of a number of faculty members and college students.
