Developing the digital library and learning resource center for people with special needs at the Faculty of Specific Education

Within the framework of the continuous development witnessed by the Faculty of Specific Education at Ain Shams University under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University and Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, inspected Prof. Dr. Osama El-Sayed, Dean of the College, and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kadri, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Amr Khalil, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, visited the digital library to follow up on the development processes of the library.

Where Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Sayed praised the process of activating the comprehensive database of the digital library, which includes a database of books and faculty staff, a management and borrowing system, and he also received the library’s faculty members’ cards, through which he will activate the electronic lending system through the unit.

His Excellency also inspected the Learning Resources Center for Special Groups, which provides services for students with special needs from college students, which includes a database for the deaf as well as a set of their learning resources and contains 6 computers equipped with a screen reader system and screen magnification systems so that the blind and visually impaired can access books And scientific theses electronically, in the presence of Ms. Amira Samir, Director of the Digital Library and Scientific Research Services Unit, and Prof. Dr. Zainab Mohammed Al-Arabi, the unit's digital content officer.
