In the activities of its 8th scientific conference: Ain Shams University discuss launching an oasis of science

Prof. Dr. Abdul Wahab Ezzat, President of Ain Shams University and Chairman of the 8th Scientific Conference of Ain Shams University, entitled "Creation, Innovation, Industry", witnessed the session of the "Science Park". The session chaired by Prof. Dr. Abdul Nasser Sengab, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research and Vice-President of the Conference, Prof. Dr. Diaa Khalil, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Graduate Studies and Research and Prof. Dr. Esraa Abdul Sayed Director of the Office of International Relations at the University.

Prof. Dr. Zhang Bin, Dean of the Faculty of Creation and Innovation of the Southwestern University of China and Prof. Dr. Han Yan, professor at Fudan University in China, gave lectures in the session. They reviewed ways to develop students' abilities in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship to meet the requirements of sustainable development and to meet the needs of the labor market of trained human resources.

They discussed the role of the Science City at Fudan University in how to benefit from the applications of scientific research carried out by universities to solve the problems of society. The experience of Fudan University in adapting the outputs of the Science Park to serve development objectives was also reviewed.

Prof. Dr. Abdul Nasser Sengab confirmed that Ain Shams University is keen to examine all successful experiences in different countries to activate the role of universities in the service of the community and linking the research and academic aspects of the requirements of development, in light of what the country faces challenges and aspirations to reach it successes. He pointed out that the University of Ain Shams is launching an oasis or city of science, as is the practice in many countries of the world, to serve the local community and link education with the industry, in order to open new markets for the Egyptian product outside the local markets.

He added that the University of Ain Shams has launched a number of innovation centers (I Hub) to discover the weight of the creative skills of university students and open new horizons to them, creating an innovative student and creative able to compete in the labor market.
