Twenty-five successful robotic surgeries at Ain Shams University Specialized Hospital

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Chairman of the University Hospitals Board of Directors, and Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Anwar, Executive Director of University Hospitals, announced Prof. Dr. Walid Anwar, Director of Ain Shams Specialized Hospital, and Prof. Dr. Hisham Anwar, Deputy Director of the hospital, the success of performing 25 surgeries using the surgical robot in various specialties.

Where 10 operations were performed in the specialty of general surgery, 8 operations in the specialty of urology, 4 operations in the specialty of gynecological surgery, and 3 operations in the specialty of colon surgery.

The success rate of all operations was 100% in terms of accuracy, safety and speed of patient discharge from the hospital and return to normal life.

For the first time in the world, Dr. Surgeon Prof. Dr. Tarek Youssef and Dr. Ahmed Ali perform a rectal fixation using a surgical robot.
