The Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams receives the Quality Assurance Committee to evaluate its programs

Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University, received the visit of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center headed by Prof. Dr. Rasha Khafagy, Director of the Center, Prof. Dr. Shaker Rizk, Professor of the English Language Department in Faculty of Arts at Suez University, and members of the technical support team via video conference, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Nasser Abd El-Aal, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Attia, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, Prof. Dr. Youmna Safwat, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Hind Asaad, Director of the Quality Unit at the Faculty, and faculty staff who are heads of scientific departments, on the first day of the technical support visit to the Faculty, which lasts for three days, to review the programs of Arabic language and literature, Italian language and literature, Czech language and literature, Chinese language and literature and the Chinese language and literature and specialized translation in Chinese with a credit hour system.

During her opening speech, Prof Dr.. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, said that the visit comes in light of the Faculty’s support and the development of its educational programs to keep pace with the rapid technological developments in the field of university education, stressing that the Faculty seeks to prepare a graduate capable of keeping pace with the requirements of the labor market; especially since we are today at a crossroads not only to achieve educational quality, but also to achieve excellence in the educational level of graduates.

She continued her speech, noting the achievements of the Faculty administration under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, during the past short period of establishing and developing credit hour halls to reach 19 halls equipped with the latest digital technologies to keep pace with global developments in education, with full commitment to applying precautionary measures to face the repercussions of the Corona virus, as it was taken into account that the hall is divided into an area of 50 approximately a flat meter with a total of 950 meters, each hall accommodates only 22 students, with a total of 420 students, under precautionary measures.

She pointed out that the Faculty administration has activated three new programs this year: Italian, German, and Spanish, with the aim of opening wider educational fields for students wishing to study specialized translation in those languages in the labor market, and the students were accommodated with them.

The placement of new postgraduate programs for credit hour students has also been completed

She pointed to the replacement and renewal of electronic examination halls at the highest level, accommodating 759 students, and providing them with the necessary equipment in case of power outages. She explained that experimental electronic tests have already been conducted on the remark and correct system, and the necessary question banks have been prepared, provided that electronic exams for students of credit hours will be activated as soon as possible.

She confirmed that it had been agreed with the Japan Foundation to hold the Japanese language proficiency exam on December 5, and confirmed that work was underway to obtain a license for electronic tests of the Russian, German, and Chinese languages.

She continued her speech, referring to the development of the Faculty’s infrastructure in its various buildings, where the Faculty buildings witnessed comprehensive replacement and renovation operations, starting with the means of rainwater drainage on the rooftops of the buildings, the Faculty parking lot, and the replacement of 10 toilets on the ground floor, in addition to the replacement and renewal operations of the Faculty’s electrical transformers.
