In appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic for the martyrs of the medical sector, and the sacrifices of the heroes of the White Army who represent the first line of defense to confront the emerging Corona virus pandemic, and they work day and night and perform their role with dedication and sincerity, and sacrifice their lives for the sake of millions of Egyptians, the President presented a gift to the families of martyrs The medical sector in university hospitals.

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Education and Student Affairs, conveyed a message of thanks and appreciation from the President to the families of the martyrs of the medical sector in university hospitals, during which they affirmed that “all the heroic martyrs will remain in the mind and heart of Egypt and that Egypt will never forget Her heroes who sacrificed for her people.”

This came during the visit of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Education and Student Affairs, to the families of some doctors who sacrificed their lives while doing their work in Ain Shams University hospitals, and they are: Prof. Dr. Hani Ali Rifat, Professor Emeritus, Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Amira Mohamad Mounir, Professor Emeritus, Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Iman Saleh Al-Hadidi, Professor Emeritus at the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Hala Mahmoud Abaza, Professor Emeritus, Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Hussein Abdel-Hafez Al-Khatib, Professor Emeritus, Faculty of Medicine; In appreciation of their sacrifices, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, expressed the sincere sympathy and appreciation of the university family to the doctors who, with their sacrifices, struck the most wonderful examples of nobility and sincerity while carrying out their role in treating people with Covid 19 virus and did not spare themselves or their knowledge in the way of treating patients.

         
   
         

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, also honored a number of the martyrs of the White Army, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Hisham Temraz, Vice President of Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Anwar, Executive Director of Ain Shams University Hospitals, and a group of department heads and families of honored martyrs, at the Faculty of Science.

As Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini expressed his gratitude to the martyrs of the White Army and expressed his appreciation, on his own behalf and on behalf of the university community members, for the role that the martyrs of duty played, as they were the first line of defense in a battle against an unknown enemy. Adding that a memorial to the martyrs will be erected at Al-Obour Hospital to honor their memory, and he also praised the commitment and dedication of all medical teams and departments at the level of doctors, nursing and technical workers and their dedication to performing their role to address this global epidemic, which appeared clearly in the field hospital, El-Obour Hospital, the elderly hospital, and all Ain Shams University hospitals In addition to developing the ambulance system for university hospitals, in addition to the virtual hospital.

Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar also praised the efforts of all the medical team from the first moment of the outbreak of the epidemic in Egypt, as everyone worked with courage and commitment.

The university family honored the names of the martyrs, Prof. Dr. Abeer Mohamed Abdel Aziz, Prof. Dr. Hisham Ahmed Mansour, Prof. Dr. Faisal Yusef Mohamed, Prof. Dr. Sawsan Ahmed Mohamed Abdel-Rahman and Prof. Dr. Abdul-Ghani Shawkat, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Hassan Burai, Prof. Dr. Hussein Al-Sayed Mohamed, Prof. Dr. Nasser Syed Rizk, Dr. Yousrya Ahmed Amara and Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Abdel-Wareth, specialist nursing.

It is worth noting that 2500 meters were allocated for the work of the first botanical garden at the Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University for the martyrs of the White Army, and the garden includes 200 fruitful trees characterized by diversity and rarity, including: "mango - pomegranate - papaya - cocoa - orange - lemon - berries." where the name of the martyrs was launched on these trees to commemorate their good memory and ongoing charity on their pure souls, in addition to a mural representing the martyrs of doctors who sacrificed their lives in order to treat the patients of the Covid 19 pandemic.
