Ain Shams University mourns Dr. Kamal El-Ganzouri, the former Prime Minister of Egypt

Ain Shams University headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, the Vice-Presidents of the University, the faculty members, administrators, and students mourn with sincere sadness and sorrow a sincere national stature, Dr. Kamal Al-Ganzouri, the former Prime Minister of Egypt, may God Almighty have mercy on the late and preserve his soul‏ .

Ain Shams University appreciates the great national role that the late Dr. Kamal Al-Ganzouri contributed during his long government years as governor of the New Valley, Governor of Beni Suef, President of the National Planning Institute and Minister of Planning, Deputy Prime Minister and Prime Minister of Egypt for two crucial periods in the history of the Egyptian nation during which he provided great services to the homeland, and did not spare his efforts and experiences in fulfilling the nation’s call, and implementing the mega projects that contributed to accelerating production, agriculture and food security, such as: the Toshka project, East Owainat, the delivery of water to Sinai through the Peace Canal, and the West Gulf of Suez project.

The university offers its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased, praying to God Almighty to cover him with the breadth of his mercy and to inspire his family and his family with patience and solace.
