The University President inaugurates the Electronic Vision Center and Student Affairs Administration at the Faculty of Arts after the renovation

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, inaugurated the new headquarters of the Electronic Vision Center and the headquarters of the Student Affairs Department at the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, after carrying out developments in its infrastructure to cope with the digital transformation in the faculty in accordance with what the state pursues and what it seeks in the near future, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research and Prof. Dr. Hesham Temraz, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.

They were received by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Rasha Al-Didi, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Sherin Mazloum, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research Prof. Dr. Manal Muharram, Director of the Electronic Vision Center, and a group of faculty professors.

Where Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, praised the positive role of the Vision Center, and his Excellency inspected the students' runways, computer laboratories and languages ​​in the college to find out the most important requirements for developing the infrastructure and logistical requirements to support them, and stressed that this renewal is an important step within the university’s faculties development plan.

Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, said that the Vision Center at the Faculty of Arts has a long history in serving blind students in order to equal opportunities to teach them by analogy with their peers using computer technology, integrating them into the student community, and opening communication channels with various associations and companies to increase job opportunities for the blind graduate in addition to providing a number of courses that qualify students for the job market.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty emphasized that the university, headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Matiny, spares no effort to support and improve the educational process, as the college coordinated with the Consulting Center of the College of Engineering to prepare and renew the headquarters of the Center for Vision and Student Affairs in a step that is a qualitative leap for the college’s development. The interest of students in the first place and to work to improve job performance to achieve standard standards for the quality of higher education in line with international standards, as the total capacity of the Electronic Vision Center is 60 computers to serve 226 male and female students. The center provides training courses on the speaking program. The center is a service for printing curricula in Braille, large print for the visually impaired, and other forms of services provided to students of the center. The halls are also provided with Internet service, in addition to a control unit and fire alarms.

He pointed out that the Student Affairs Administration has also been renewed, as the department’s infrastructure has been renewed and equipped with the latest computers, printers and Internet service to facilitate communication with students, as the administration provides registration and registration services for students of the sixteen departments, who number about 24,000 students, thus contributing to the achievement of Work in line with the desired digital transformation.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada noted that the faculty intends in the coming period to renew a number of departments, runways, halls, classrooms and laboratories to advance the educational process.
