Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural Sciences (Agricultural Economics Program)
2026-06-30Admission Requirements:
Applicants must hold a Research Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences from an Egyptian university or an equivalent degree recognized by the Supreme Council of Universities. The period since obtaining the master’s degree must not exceed ten years. Applicants must enroll in the same specialization as their master’s degree within the same department. If applying from a different specialization, they must complete at least 30 credit units from master’s-level courses in the new specialization with a minimum GPA of 2.7 (Very Good), in addition to PhD coursework.

These studies are crucial for addressing regional issues such as population growth, rising food demand, water scarcity, climate constraints, and geopolitical risks affecting the Arab region.
• Features a strong curriculum aligned with modern developments in agricultural economics, with interdisciplinary collaboration across the Faculty of Agriculture and the Faculty of Environmental Studies at Ain Shams University. • Responds to increasing societal demand for experts capable of analyzing agricultural resource markets and related industries such as fertilizers, plant nutrients, seeds, and pesticides.
