Admission Requirements

One year of practical work experience.

Target Group

Egyptian and international students.

Credit Hours:

16 credit hours in the first semester

12 credit hours in the second semester

Application Periods:

From the beginning of July until the end of August.

Program Duration:

Two academic semesters, each lasting 15 weeks.

-Distinguishes between types of surgical instruments and endoscopes and identifies their uses.

-Analyzes health assessment data and determines nursing care priorities for postoperative patients.

-Applies infection control, sterilization, and disinfection principles according to professional standards.

-Documents health data and nursing interventions and prepares accurate professional reports.

-Utilizes effective communication skills in providing surgical nursing care.

-Uses modern technology and electronic information sources to support professional practice and knowledge development in operating room and surgical care nursing.

Skills Acquired by Graduates

The Postgraduate Diploma in Operating Room Nursing aims to prepare specialized nurses with advanced knowledge, clinical, administrative, and professional skills enabling them to provide safe and high-quality nursing care throughout all stages of surgery (preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative). It also aims to develop leadership and managerial capabilities and enhance professional responsibility, enabling graduates to perform advanced roles efficiently in operating room nursing.
