Skills Acquired by Graduates
The Faculty encourages its translators to engage in the practice of translation, which should primarily focus on transferring the most significant literary and intellectual works of Arab culture into the foreign languages represented at the Faculty.
The Faculty offers Master’s and Doctoral degrees in translation from and into Arabic, covering the major intellectual, literary, and cultural trends that have shaped the awareness of Egyptian, Arab, and international societies.
Given the importance of these translated works, the Faculty of Al-Alsun may establish agreements with specialized translation centers for their publication, provided that they are reviewed and revised to ensure their accuracy in both form and content.
However, the Faculty’s interest in translation is not limited to preparing academic works from a purely linguistic or cultural perspective. Efforts are also directed toward encouraging collaborative translation projects carried out by translators from the faculty’s academic departments on specific topics or specialized encyclopedias, paving the way for the completion and publication of these translation projects.
Additionally, the Faculty seeks to develop multilingual dictionaries, thereby enriching its cultural contribution and strengthening its role within Arab and global communities.
