Admission Requirements

• The applicant must pass a personal interview to be admitted to the department (PhD level).

• The applicant must hold a master’s degree in arts, Sociology specialization, with at least a “Good” overall grade from Egyptian universities or equivalent foreign universities.

• The department accepts students from the Faculty of Environmental Studies and Sciences who hold a master’s degree in Sociology with at least a “Good” grade.

• The department also accepts applicants holding a pre-PhD qualification from Sociology departments in public universities under the Supreme Council of Universities, with remedial (compensatory) courses required according to their previous studies.

Egyptians – Non-Egyptians (International students)

Study Duration

Minimum: 3 years

Maximum: 5 years

Application Period

From the beginning of August until the end of the second week after the start of the academic year.

Credit Hours

50 credit hours
