Announcing the competitive scholarships for the academic year 2022/2023 offered to the Arab Republic of Egypt from Hungary, according to the Executive Program for PhD

The Scholarships Welfare Office at Ain Shams University announces the announcement of the Central Administration of Scholarships regarding the availability of doctoral scholarships offered by the State of Hungary to obtain a doctorate degree in English in any field of interest, including the field of arts and literature.

Conditions for applying for scholarships:

The candidate must be of Egyptian nationality - faculty assistants in Egyptian public universities - institutes - bodies - research centers - administrative cadres listed in the scholarship plan - universities and private research centers.

The period of service in the employer shall not be less than two years prior to 1/9/2022.

The doctoral candidate must not have been registered in the homeland for more than a year and a half when applying for the scholarship in the case of his doctorate registration.

Scholarship data provided by the Hungarian side:

Studying without fees - providing accommodation in university cities - the right to basic health services.

A monthly scholarship allowance (according to the rules in force in Hungary).

The scholarship does not include return travel expenses.

Scholarships shall afford (other than by another) for doctoral students (affiliated to the entities listed in the missions’ plan) the value of the scholarship provided by the Hungarian side in accordance with the executive program, as well as round-trip travel tickets, in accordance with the scholarships’ financial regulations.

The missions do not bear any expenses for the family in accordance with the decision of the Executive Committee of Missions in the session 23/8/2017 and amended by the decision of the Executive Committee of the missions in the session of 19/11/2017.

Documents required for a PhD scholarship:

A data form in Arabic approved by the employer (indicating the date of appointment).

A certified copy of the research plan in Arabic and English - a copy of the scientific life “C.V. Certified in English.

A nomination letter from the employer indicating that he is not nominated for any other scholarship or mission, as well as an indication that survey forms have been sent to the security authorities to approve travel.

A true copy of the bachelor's degree and four-year estimates in English - a true copy of the master's degree - a copy of the abstract of the master's thesis approved.

A copy of the completed online scholarship application form from the Hungarian side.

A copy of a passport valid for at least three years.

The candidate’s original certificate of passing an International TOEFL IBT score of 79 or IELTS Academic score of 6.5, unless the awarding party requests a higher score.

Priority for nomination is in the following order:

Teaching staff members in Egyptian universities or research centers.

Administrative cadres in government institutions and included in the missions’ plan.

Universities and private research centers.

Papers submitted by mail or e-mail will not be considered.

The deadline for submitting documents to the Missions Department: Thursday, 20/1/2022.
