Ain Shams University launches an orientation series on the Community Observatory to promote the culture of volunteer work and community participation

In line with the commitment of Ain Shams University to strengthening its societal role and consolidating the culture of volunteering and active student participation, the “Community Observatory” at Ain Shams University, in cooperation with the Egyptian Red Crescent, continues its efforts in monitoring and analyzing social phenomena, contributing to a better understanding of community needs and supporting sustainable development plans.

This initiative is held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Rami Maher, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Gehan Ragab, Supervisor of the Community Observatory.

The Community Observatory aims to build a generation that is aware of its societal issues and capable of actively contributing to solutions and community initiatives, by involving university students in field monitoring activities, volunteer work, and awareness campaigns.

It also works to promote the values of cooperation, belonging, and social responsibility, while providing students with opportunities to gain practical experience and field skills that help prepare young cadres who are more capable of making an impact and driving positive changes within society.

This introductory series aims to present the objectives and various activities of the Observatory, and to encourage students and those interested in volunteer work to join and actively participate in serving the community.
