Ain Shams University participates in police festivities

In the context of Ain Shams University's participation in the sixty-eighth Police Day celebrations, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Matini, President of Ain Shams University, visited the Police Sports Federation, where he was received by Major General Khaled Fawzi, Assistant Minister of the Interior for the Social Care Sector, Major General Hazem El-Habrouk, Assistant Minister of the Interior, Director of the General Administration of the Sports Police Union, and Major General Ashraf Abdel-Fattah, Deputy Director of the General Administration of the Police Union .

During his speech, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini praised the efforts of the policemen to protect the security of the homeland, expressing his great happiness for the university’s participation in its police celebrations and its students, and stressing the importance of communication and friction between the university’s students and the police academy students to exchange visions and ideas. His Excellency indicated that a number of university students, one of the police academy students, will participate in a day to coexist with them and learn about their daily lives.

Where the teams of "handball students, pentagrams, and volleyball students" of Ain Shams University, their counterparts from the Police Union teams participated in three friendly matches within the activities of the Sports Day organized by the Police Sports Federation. The celebration also included performances of some self-defense games, as the Kung Fu, Karate and Taekwondo teams of the Police Union gave various shows.

Major General Khaled Fawzi presented the university’s participating students with the Federation’s medals, and the two sides exchanged memorial shields.
