In a new scientific and research achievement, Ain Shams University, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, the President of University, announced the registration of the Faculty of Education's herbarium in the International Herbarium Code, thus gaining international recognition under the name ASEDU.

The new herbarium will provide advanced research and scientific services for plant-related research to various faculties within the university, including the Faculties of Girls, Human Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy, Science, Education, Graduate Studies, and Environmental Research Centers. It will also enhance collaboration with research centers at both the local and international levels.

With this achievement, Ain Shams University becomes the only Egyptian university with two internationally recognized herbaria: The Faculty of Science's herbarium (ASUE) and the Faculty of Education's herbarium (ASEDU). This strengthens the university's position in the field of scientific research, promotes ethical research practices in botany, and contributes to enriching the international publication of the university's research.
