Ain Shams University invites faculty staff and researchers to apply for the 10th cycle of the UNESCO–Equatorial Guinea International Prize for Research in the Life Sciences 2026, based on the notification received from the General Secretariat of the Association of Arab Universities, under the patronage of Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research.
This invitation comes within the framework of the University’s commitment to supporting scientific research and innovation and encouraging researchers to participate in one of the world’s most prestigious scientific prizes, which recognizes outstanding research achievements with a positive impact on quality of life and sustainable development.
Application deadline: 31 March 2026
Established in 2008, the prize honors innovative scientific research that contributes to improving human quality of life and promoting sustainable development, with a focus on the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, particularly the goals related to “Better Life” (Goals 1, 2, 5, 8, and 10).
The prize targets individual researchers, research groups, academic and scientific institutions, and non-governmental organizations working in the field of life sciences.
Nominations are submitted exclusively through the Egyptian National Commission for UNESCO.
Note: Self-nominations are not accepted, and each institution may submit up to five nominations only.
Accordingly, Ain Shams University calls upon eligible faculty staff and researchers to promptly register and complete all nomination requirements to benefit from this distinguished international opportunity.
