The Papyrological and Epigraphic Studies Center at the Faculty of Archaeology, Ain Shams University, has announced the opening of research paper submissions for participation in its 13th International Conference, scheduled to be held on February 4–5, 2026, under the title: “Inscriptions, Writings, and Symbols on Architectural Structures Across the Ages: From Reading and Documentation to Study and Analysis.”
The conference will be held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University; Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Prof. Hossam Tantawy, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Archaeology. The event is supervised by Prof. Bassem Mohamed, Acting Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, coordinated by Dr. Eman Nabil, Director of the Center for Papyrological and Epigraphic Studies, and sponsored by Mentor Group for Consulting.
The conference aims to examine inscriptions, writings, and symbols found on architectural structures across different historical periods, focusing on their reading and documentation, and advancing toward their study and analysis within their historical, cultural, and scientific contexts.
