Ain Shams University has been following the discussions circulating in some media outlets and social media platforms regarding “graduation from the Faculty of Business in three years,” and the accompanying inaccurate interpretations that have caused confusion among students and parents.
The university categorically affirms that the basic study period at the Faculty of Business remains four full academic years, and no decision has been issued to reduce or amend it. What has been raised in this regard is nothing more than a proposal to amend the study regulations based on the Credit Hours system, which is an academic system practiced globally, and allows — according to specific controls and conditions for distinguished students only — the possibility of completing graduation requirements in a shorter period of time, without any disruption to the scientific content or the quality of qualification.
The university clarifies that this proposal has not yet been adopted or implemented. It is currently under review by the relevant authorities, primarily the Supreme Council of Universities.
It will only come into effect after all legal procedures are completed and it is officially approved. At that point, it will be announced only through the university’s official channels.
