Ain Shams University has achieved a new global sports milestone, as student Youssef Emad Mahmoud Abdel Hamid Badawy won the World Championship title in Kumite under 84 kg for the third consecutive time.

Youssef Badawy, enrolled in the specialized programs in the Department of Design and Production Engineering at Ain Shams University, secured the title in the final of the 2025 Karate World Cup with an outstanding performance, achieving a decisive 6–0 victory over the Turkish champion.

This new world title adds a valuable achievement to Youssef Badawy’s record of continental and international championships and highlights Egypt’s leading position in the sport of karate. It also showcases the exceptional level of excellence demonstrated by the university’s students across various fields.

In this context, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, congratulated Youssef Badawy on this remarkable achievement, noting that he embodies the ideal university student who combines academic excellence with athletic prowess.
