As part of Ain Shams University’s commitment to enhancing its readiness and preparedness for emergency situations, and under the guidance and patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, the Education and Student Affairs Sector carried out a successful evacuation drill for Al-Gomhoria Building at the Students’ University Dormitory. The drill was conducted in coordination with the University’s Civil Defense Administration and with the participation of the dormitory staff.

The drill activities were supervised by Mr. Ibrahim Saeed, Assistant Secretary-General for the Education and Student Affairs Sector, and the entire evacuation process took approximately three minutes.

The evacuation team began by ensuring that corridors and emergency stairways were free of any obstacles, after which alarm sirens were activated to signal the start of the complete evacuation of the building. An ambulance was also stationed on standby, fully prepared to respond to any emergency.

The evacuation was carried out efficiently and without any injuries. All members of the evacuation team executed their tasks with precision, and a high level of cooperation was demonstrated by the staff inside the building, contributing significantly to the success of the drill and achieving its objective in record time.

This drill comes as part of the University’s plan to raise awareness, develop emergency-response skills, and enhance the preparation of university facilities to effectively handle various emergency situations, ensuring the safety of all members of the university community.
