The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Ain Shams University Launches the First University Podcast for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Across Egyptian Universities

In a new achievement added to its leading record in supporting student creativity and youth empowerment, Ain Shams University, represented by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (iHub), announced the launch of the first university podcast specialized in innovation and entrepreneurship. This marks the first university podcast to be launched across Egyptian universities, aiming to raise awareness among students and university innovators about the concepts of innovation and entrepreneurship, and to serve as a unique platform that brings together thought, expertise, and inspiration in one place.

The program is held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University; Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; and Prof. Neveen Asem, Chief Executive of the Innovation and Training Sector.

This podcast represents a pioneering step toward building a generation aware of market mechanisms, regulations, and the practical challenges of entrepreneurship. It serves as an interactive platform that allows students and innovators to share their experiences and success stories while highlighting the innovation ecosystem within the university.

The podcast is structured around three main axes:

Entrepreneurship Axis: Showcasing real-life experiences and inspiring success stories of entrepreneurs within and outside the university.

Business Axis: Enabling youth to understand economic and marketing aspects and to build successful and sustainable business models.

Legal Axis: Protecting innovation and intellectual property rights, and understanding the legal frameworks governing entrepreneurship.

Dr. Mohamed Magdy, Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, oversaw the organization and coordination, while Dr. Sherine Mohamed El-Masry – Media Lecturer and Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit at the Graduate School of Childhood Studies – supervised the media aspects of the project, reflecting the university’s commitment to integrating academic expertise with specialized media application.

The implementation of this initiative is the result of fruitful collaboration between the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center and its team, with the participation of an outstanding group of faculty members, researchers, and students from the faculties of Media, Graduate School of Childhood Studies, Law, and Commerce.
