In her opening remarks, Prof. Hanan Kamel welcomed the attendees, emphasizing that the October Victory remains an eternal symbol of Egyptian unity and their ability to achieve the impossible. She highlighted the importance of drawing inspiration from the spirit of October to face present challenges and build the future. She affirmed that the October Victory was not merely a military battle, but a heroic epic crafted by men who pledged to God victory or martyrdom, writing the greatest pages of glory in the nation’s history with their lives and blood. This victory will remain a source of pride and inspiration for generations to come.

The seminar was moderated by the veteran broadcaster Dr. Khaled Saad, senior anchor at Channel One and a fellow at Nasser Military Academy. He introduced Major General Samir Farag, noting that he is one of the distinguished alumni of the faculty, having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Ain Shams University before rising through several prestigious military and civil positions.

Major General Samir Farag began his speech by greeting Prof. Hanan Kamel, the vice deans, and attendees, expressing his happiness to return to his alma mater, which holds a special place in his heart. He said, "I will never forget these walls that witnessed my beginnings, and they still embrace new generations of Egypt’s promising youth."

During the seminar, Farag presented several rare films covering the periods before, during, and after the October War, illustrating how Egypt turned the 1967 defeat into a glorious victory through the will of its leadership and people. He reviewed the heroics of the Battle of Ras El-Esh, the destruction of the Israeli destroyer Eilat, the mystery of the Israeli submarine "Davar," and the Mansouriya air battle, which he described as a disgrace for the Israeli enemy.

He also discussed the operation to destroy the Israeli dredger off the Ivory Coast, the storming of the Bar Lev Line, and the start of the great crossing, stressing that President Anwar Sadat was a genius in planning, management, and strategic deception. He noted that the Israeli film "Golda" finally acknowledged the greatness of the Egyptian fighter.

Farag emphasized that the war of awareness today is no less dangerous than the war of arms in the past, calling on youth to be the shield of the nation in confronting extremist ideologies and attempts to undermine the state and its institutions. He stated, "You are the ones who will protect the country with your minds before your strength."

At the conclusion of the seminar, students and attendees engaged enthusiastically with the rich patriotic content and ideas presented. Prof. Hanan Kamel then presented the faculty’s shield to Major General Samir Farag and Dr. Khaled Saad in recognition of their significant national and media contributions.
