Ain Shams University strengthens its international presence by participating in the Akhbar El Yom Education Fair in Nigeria

In a step that underscores its commitment to enhancing international academic cooperation, Ain Shams University actively participated in the third edition of the Educational Fair for Egyptian Universities in Nigeria, organized by Akhbar El Yom Foundation.

This participation was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Ambassador Mohamed Fouad, Egypt’s Ambassador to Abuja; and Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, with the aim of attracting Nigerian students and opening new horizons for Egyptian higher education in the African continent.

The fair’s activities were supervised by the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector and the International Students Administration, with Ain Shams University represented by Dr. Mona El-Taher, Lecturer at the Faculty of Business.

The exhibition toured four major Nigerian cities, beginning in the capital Abuja on September 15, with an official opening attended by the Egyptian ambassador. The event witnessed great interest from students and parents keen on studying in Egypt.

The tour continued in Kaduna on September 17, where Kaduna University hosted the fair. Comprehensive presentations were delivered about the diverse academic programs offered by Ain Shams University, attracting widespread attention from attendees.

In Zaria on September 18, the Ain Shams delegation made a distinguished visit to the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, helping to build bridges for direct academic communication.

The tour concluded in Kano on September 20, where the fair was held alongside important visits to two prominent universities: Bayero University, one of Nigeria’s oldest universities, and Northwest University (the modern public university), to discuss avenues for joint cooperation and experience exchange.

Ain Shams University’s participation in this fair is part of its strategy to strengthen its global presence and open new channels for students from around the world, especially from sister African countries. This step reaffirms the university’s commitment to providing high-quality higher education and advancing its academic journey to become a beacon of knowledge and learning both regionally and internationally.
