Under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Professor Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Ain Shams University Career Center concluded its fifth week as part of the "Be Ready: One Million Innovative Qualified" initiative. This initiative aims to develop the life and employment skills of Ain Shams University students and graduates and ensure their readiness to join the labor market.
The initiative was implemented at the university under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein El-Abeden, President of the University; Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research.
The university's Career Center achieved unprecedented results by training and qualifying 2,100 students and graduates under the initiative over a period of five weeks. This was achieved through holding more than 68 training sessions at the Career Center's headquarters and the Faculties of Commerce, Languages, and Arts, in cooperation with more than 28 trainers and 20 training coordinators.
The Career Center offered an intensive six-day training program for students and graduates, aimed at building their skills in career guidance, emotional intelligence, self-awareness, career interests and values, decision-making, goal setting, time management, problem-solving, communication skills, job search skills, and green jobs. Additionally, it covered topics such as social and financial planning.
In this context, Prof Mohamed Diaa, President of Ain Shams University, praised the tangible results achieved by the Career Center under this initiative. He commended the unprecedented participation of students and graduates, emphasizing that this large turnout reflects their commitment to effectively preparing themselves for the job market.
The "Be Ready" initiative is one of the implementation mechanisms of the "Alliance and Development" initiative, funded by the Innovators and Geniuses Care Fund of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the participation of several international and local partners, including the International Labor Organization, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), the Global Innovation Institute, the United Nations Development Program, the Education Development Fund of the Prime Minister's Office, the Life Makers Foundation Egypt, and Plan International through the "Ready for Food" program.
