The launch of the 6th Egyptian School and Conference of the Neuromuscular Center of the Faculty of Medicine

Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ali El-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, and Prof. Tarek Youssef, Executive Director of Ain Shams University Hospitals, 6th Egyptian School and Conference of the Neuromuscular Center was launched at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, with the participation of a select group of senior professors and specialized experts from various Egyptian universities and medical centers.

The conference ran over two days, September 11th and 12th A specialized school for muscle and nerve diseases was held prior to the conference, held from September 9th to 10th at the Training and Development Center at Ain Shams University Hospitals. The school aimed to qualify young doctors and provide them with the latest knowledge and practical experience in this delicate specialty.

The conference program included several scientific sessions, lectures, and workshops that reviewed the latest scientific findings in the diagnosis and treatment of muscle and nerve diseases, with a focus on the exchange of experiences between doctors and researchers, contributing to the development of diagnostic methods and improving the quality of medical care provided to patients.

The conference also witnessed distinguished participation from the International Society of Peripheral Nerve Diseases, hosting two visiting professors who delivered specialized lectures and participated in workshops.

The conference was attended by Professor Hatem Samir Shehata, Secretary-General of the Egyptian Society of Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Psychiatry, heads of neurology at various Egyptian universities and hospitals, Prof. Nagia Ali Fahmy, Professor of Neurology, Head of the Department of Neurology, and Conference Chair, as well as a group of faculty members from various disciplines at Egyptian universities.

The conference emphasized Ain Shams University's pioneering role in using various methods to diagnose and treat muscle and peripheral nerve diseases.

The organizers also emphasized that the conference's primary goal is to support the younger generation of doctors and provide them with the latest developments in the field of muscle and peripheral nerve diseases, which will positively impact the development of the medical and research system in Egypt.
