Prof. Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Dr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education; Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity; and Dr. Rasha Sharaf, Secretary-General of the Education Development Fund, witnessed the launch of the first international diploma for preparing teachers of inclusive learning activities (Tokkatsu). The diploma, which is being implemented jointly by the Faculty of Girls at Ain Shams University, reflects the university's commitment to developing teacher preparation programs to improve student learning outcomes and keep pace with labor market requirements. The event was held under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University.
The diploma launch ceremony was attended by Prof. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Universities; Prof. Hani Hilal, former Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Secretary-General of the Steering Committee for the Egyptian-Japanese Partnership; Mr. Fumio Iwai, Ambassador of Japan to Egypt; Prof. Amal Sweidan, former Head of the Educational Studies Sector Committee; Prof. Maged Abu El-Enein, Secretary of the Educational Studies Sector Committee; and a number of former ministers.
In this context, Prof. Amira Youssef, Dean of the Faculty of Girls, emphasized the importance of leveraging international experiences in teacher training to improve student learning outcomes and build Egyptians capable of achieving sustainable development goals and advancing our beloved homeland.
Her Excellency explained that this program is being implemented by the college in cooperation with Fukui University in Japan, starting from the 2025-2026 academic year. The program will begin on October 7th, and students will be awarded a dual degree from the university and Fukui University in Japan. The program combines theoretical study with practical application within Japanese schools, which contributes to the professionalism and excellence of graduates.
