The Faculty of Agriculture Offers Fresh and High-Quality Products on Campus

As part of its ongoing commitment to social responsibility and support for university staff, Ain Shams University—through its Faculty of Agriculture—has launched an initiative to offer high-quality fresh food products at competitive prices within the university campus.

The initiative is held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of the University, and Prof. Walaa Mohamed Abdel Ghany, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, with direct supervision by the faculty administration and close monitoring by the Food Safety and Security Committee.

The initiative includes the sale of fresh fish produced by the faculty’s fish farms at a price of EGP 65 per kilogram, about EGP 25 lower than wholesale prices, as well as a selection of fresh vegetables and natural honey, all offered at prices significantly lower than those available in local markets.

The Faculty Administration emphasized that this step aligns with the university’s strategic plan to enhance internal food security and provide meaningful support to its staff. It also announced plans to expand the initiative in the coming period by offering a wider range of food products to benefit as many university members as possible.
