Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, announced that the university has obtained institutional accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE), which operates under the Prime Minister. He emphasized that this achievement instills great confidence in the university’s outcomes.
Prof. Diaa Zain El Abedeen affirmed that receiving institutional accreditation is the result of the collective efforts of the university’s previous administrations, deans, vice deans, and administrative staff. He highlighted that this milestone not only reflects the university’s commitment to quality standards in education, scientific research, and community service, but also demonstrates the dedication of both academic and administrative sectors to maintaining the highest levels of quality. This, in turn, enhances graduates’ qualifications for securing distinguished job opportunities and competing in the labor market.
He also praised the vital role played by the National Authority in ensuring the quality of education across higher education institutions in Egypt and reiterated the university’s aspiration to align with international standards.
The University President extended his sincere thanks to Prof. Alaa Ashmawy, President of NAQAAE, expressing hope for continued cooperation and exchange of expertise to achieve the shared goal of elevating educational quality to the highest standards.
It is worth mentioning that the NAQAAE delegation conducted a field visit to Ain Shams University from April 13 to 17, 2025. The visit covered all university sectors, faculties, centers, units, and administrative departments, and included meetings with university leaders, deans, vice deans, the director and members of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center, the chair and members of the Self-Study Team, representatives of teaching assistants and undergraduate students, the university secretary-general and assistant secretaries, as well as faculty and administrative directors.
The field visit team included a distinguished group of experts and professors specialized in higher education and quality assurance. President Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedein expressed his deep appreciation for their exceptional efforts and valuable support during the visit.
The visiting team was accompanied by Prof. Savinaz Adel El-Habashi, full-time professor at the Faculty of Medicine and the person responsible for the university’s institutional accreditation file from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education, and the quality team, Prof. Miriam Ayad, Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center, Prof. Mona Abdel Aal, Director of the Center for Development of Educational Strategies and Research at the University, Prof. Hind Asaad, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty of Languages, Prof. Dina Lashin, Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Dina El-Zafzaf, Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Hala Sweid, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Dr. Nada El-Askary, Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Computers and Information.
