Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, honored the students of the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Environmental Urbanism Program - Bachelor's Degree - who won first and second place in the "Sound Place in Urban Design" competition, which is part of the UNESCO Sound Week. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Karim Saeed, Educational Counselor at the French Embassy, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Amani Osama, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Amr Shaat, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Ahmed El Sabbagh, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Sherweit El Ahmady, Director of the International Students and Mobility Office, Prof. Marwa Abu El Fotouh, Coordinator of the Architecture and Environmental Urbanism Program, and Dr. Kamal Obeid, Director of the International Cooperation Department.

The award was won by fourth-year students in the Architecture and Environmental Urbanism program for their course on Urban Acoustics and Acoustic Architecture, under the supervision of Prof. Noha Gamal Saeed, the course professor, and the supervision of Zeina Zahran and Ahmed Mowafy, course teaching assistants, through the Urban Acoustics Lab, part of the Acoustics Unit at the Faculty of Engineering.
