The Faculty of Mass Communication wins two awards at the Arab Festival for Media Sciences

The Faculty of Mass Communication at Ain Shams University won two awards at the Arab Festival for Media Sciences, organized by the Faculty of Mass Communication at Modern University (MTI) in cooperation with the General Union of Arab Producers. The festival was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, and under the supervision of Prof. Heba Shaheen, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, and Prof. Salwa Soliman, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.

   
   

The festival's opening ceremony was attended by Ambassador Ahmed Rashid Khattabi, Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Media and Communication Sector at the League of Arab States; Dr. Ibrahim Abu Zekri, President of the Arab Producers Union; and Dr. Sami Al-Sharif, President of the Arab Festival for Media Sciences and Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication at Modern University. The event opened with honoring the deans of the faculties participating in the two competitions.

The Faculty of Mass Communication won third place in the radio podcast competition for its radio production "Jadwa," a radio magazine supervised by Dr. Shireen Al-Iraqi, a Lecturer in the Department of Media Production, and Ms. Israa Ramadan, a teaching assistant in the department.

A select group of third-year students from the faculty participated in producing the radio magazine "Jadwa": Ilham Hisham Mahmoud, Shihab Mahmoud Mohamed, Ola Amer Abdel Aal, Mariam Ahmed, Mohamed Hussein, Mustafa Ashraf Zaki, Nagham Mohamed Mohamed, and Nelly Ahmed Badr.

As part of the AIM Awards competition, the faculty won third place in the film category: "The Land of Happiness Film," directed by second-level student Mustafa Mohamed Saeed Abdel Hamid, out of a total of 180 media productions that competed in the competition.
