The Faculty of Agriculture hosts the introductory forum for the Biotechnology Projects Alliance

The Faculty of Agriculture, at Ain Shams University, hosted the introductory forum for the Biotechnology Projects Alliance, funded by the Bedayati Project - Academy of Scientific Research, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Gina Al-Feki, Acting President of the Academy of Scientific Research, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Thanaa Al-Noubi, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, at Ain Shams University, Prof. Ashraf Bakri, the principal researcher for the Project Alliance, with the participation of many universities, including Nile University, Fayoum University, Mansoura University, and Alexandria University.

The forum aims to introduce students and researchers to the field of biotechnology and its future importance, how to present the alliance of biotechnology projects and the funding and support possibilities available to researchers, encourage scientific research and entrepreneurship in the agricultural biotechnology sector, and enhance research cooperation between the various Egyptian universities in this strategic sector.

         
   
         

The forum included many activities, in the presence of Prof. Amr Farouk, Vice President of the Academy of Scientific Research for the Technological Development Sector, Prof. Asmaa Abu Shadi, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Biotechnology, Eng. Mahmoud Tantawi, Executive Director of the Graduation Projects Support Program, Academy of Scientific Research, in addition to a group of department heads, faculty staff, and teaching assistants, and in the presence of a large and distinguished presence of faculty students in the various programs.

On the sidelines of the activities, a lecture was given about introducing the Project Development Agency and the services provided, and it was delivered by Dr. Dalia Mostafa, a certified trainer at the Project Development Agency, in addition to a video presentation about the graduation project students, and a presentation by the student Fatima Ahmed Nashaat, head of the Pre-Graduation Researchers Initiative at the Faculty of Agriculture, at Ain Shams University. The conference was organized by: Prof. Naglaa Mohamed Obaid, Director of New Programs, Dr. Samah Hashem, alternate researcher for the Project Alliance and coordinator of the graduation project for the new programs.

It is noteworthy that the forum comes within the framework of efforts made to encourage applied scientific research and entrepreneurship in vital and strategic scientific fields such as agricultural biotechnology to serve sustainable development in Egypt.
