A training program to develop the skills of faculty staff and researchers at the Faculty of Arts

The Graduate Studies and Research Sector at the Faculty of Arts, at Ain Shams University, is organizing a training program for faculty staff, teaching assistants, and researchers, from February 18 to March 5, 2023, under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty, under the supervision of Prof. Hatem Rabie, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies and Research.

Prof. Hanan Kamel confirmed that the Faculty spares no effort in supporting its faculty staff by providing all the necessary capabilities to encourage them to give more to raise the academic level and scientific research, which contributes to achieving the university’s goals to reach a distinguished ranking in the world.

For his part, Prof. Hatem Rabie confirmed that organizing these training courses comes within the framework of developing the skills of faculty members and supporting staff and raising their efficiency, and is an important step towards professional development, and a means of modifying ideas and developing teaching and learning to achieve comprehensive quality, and not just for mere attendance as it is a formal administrative requirement for promotion. Pointing out that the courses are free, an elite group of professors and academic experts lecture, and participants are given a certificate of attendance.

These programs include a number of topics, including “preparing the course file,” which is presented by Dr. Howaida Abdel Hamid, Director of the Faculty’s Performance Evaluation and Quality Assurance Unit, “Academic Writing in English,” presented by Prof. Nadia Hashish, Professor in the English Department, “Common Mistakes in Writing Scientific Research,” presented by Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hamid, lecturer in the Arabic Language Department, “Digital Identity for Researchers on Scientific Communication Sites,” presented by: Prof. Amani Al-Sayed, Professor of Library and Information Science and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs at Helwan University, the Egyptian Knowledge Bank and its Role in Promoting Scientific Research” and “International Publishing and Selection of Scientific Journals.”, presented by Mr. Mahmoud Daoud, “Director of Marketing and Information at the Egyptian Knowledge Bank,” How to Apply for Scholarships and Scholarships, presented by Prof. Reem Al-Kabarti, Director of the University’s Alumni Association Administration, “Quality Standards,” presented by Dr. Howaida Abdel Hamid.

The courses are witnessing a high demand and significant interest from faculty staff.
