The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (ASU-iHub) launches the winter training camp under the title “Sustainable Innovation and Industry 4.0”

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Ain Shams University (ASU-iHub) launched the winter training camp under the title “Sustainable Innovation and Industry 4.0”, under the patronage of the University President, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, under the supervision of Prof. Adel Al-Sabbagh, Director General of the Innovation Center, Dr. Weam Mahmoud, Executive Director of the University’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, and Dr. Islam Adly, Director of Student Activities, ASU-iClub.

The winter training camp is one of the activities of the ISI4Egypt program, which is a three-year program between the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Ain Shams University and the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Technical University of Berlin.

         
   
         
The winter training camp, which began on Monday, January 29 and continues until February 9, 2024, aims to enhance the culture of entrepreneurship, provide participants with the skills required by Egyptian industry, and promote dialogue between cultures, as the camp brings together students from both countries, Egypt and Germany, by offering educational topics in the field of innovation, sustainability, innovation management, intellectual property and other relevant topics related to Industry 4.0 by working on real-life innovation Business Cases that address sustainability issues from a comprehensive and practical perspective with the support of project and industry partners, the camp offers a mix of lectures from trainers with different experiences, teamwork within teams, orientation sessions, and field visits, making it a complete and diverse program.

 

The camp covers a set of exercises such as the basics of design thinking - introduction to the industry in the fourth generation 0.4 - sustainability - basics of marketing and finance - the initial business model.

The camp targeted Ain Shams University graduates between 2020 and 2023 and final year students. At the end of the camp, each team will present a real problem and the proposed solution to address it.
