With the participation of 13 local and international companies, the Faculty of Al-Alsun organizes an employment day

The Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, at Ain Shams University, in cooperation with ASU Career Center and the University Alumni Association, organized the Faculty’s Employment Day, with the participation of 13 international and local companies, where Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of Al-Alsun Faculty, opened the Faculty’s Employment Day activities, in the presence of Prof. Youmna Safwat, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Nasser Abdel-Al, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Ashraf Attia, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies and Research.

         
   
         

Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, explained that today comes from the Faculty’s belief in applying the concept of comprehensive quality by providing distinguished cadres to meet the needs of the labor market at the local and international levels, and as a contribution from the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector and the Graduate Follow-up Unit in enhancing communication with the graduates of the Faculty of Al-Alsun to develop academic, research and training plans of the Faculty, and develop the skills of students and graduates and direct them to available training and work opportunities.

She pointed out that this year's Employment Day includes companies in various fields, including translation, Arabization, publishing, electronic publishing, tourism, teaching, and some companies specialized in human resources and employment work.

     
 
     

For her part, Prof. Youmna Safwat, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development, explained that the primary goal of this day is to prepare students for the labor market and overcome the difficulties they face in employment, as the Faculty is keen to build multiple partnerships to exchange experiences and open new horizons to develop students’ skills and prepare them for practical life.

During the meeting with company representatives as part of the Employment Day activities, Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, in the presence of Prof. Nasser Abdel-Al, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Youmna Safwat, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Hind Asaad, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty, Prof. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Director of the ASU Career Center, talked with company representatives about the readiness of the students of the Faculty of Al-Alsun to enter the labor market.

She pointed out the importance of their proposals to develop the educational process and curricula to raise the competitive capabilities of the students of the Faculty of Al-Alsun to face the challenges of the labor market.

On the other hand, the opinions of employers were surveyed regarding the qualifications of the graduate and the skills required for employment to bridge the gap between the faculty and the labor market, and the meeting ended with the company representatives being honored for their contributions.
