In continuation of holding Arabic language courses for non-native speakers, Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University, said that a new class of students from Shanghai University in China passed the Arabic language course for non-native speakers, within the framework of fruitful cooperation between the Faculty of Al-Alsun - represented by the Arabic Language Department at the college - and several Chinese universities under the auspices of Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun, under the supervision of Prof. Nasser Abdel-Al, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Youmna Safwat, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Affairs, under the supervision of Prof. Wageh Yacoub Al-Sayed, Head of the Arabic Language Department.

   
   
   
   

During her speech, Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University, said that the Faculty of Al-Alsun is the center of linguistic sciences at the level of the Middle East, and seeks, through the Arabic language program for non-native speakers, to spread the culture and identity of the Arabic language in variants of the planet, and also launches an invitation to members of Arab communities in European countries. Those of the second generation who do not speak Arabic or who are unable to write in its letters may participate in “Aon” courses to learn the Arabic language via video conferencing techniques.

Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, said that the course for teaching Chinese students lasted three months through intensive theoretical and applied lectures using all modern methods and theories, and under the supervision of professors specialized in teaching Arabic to speakers of other languages. The students also carried out various activities in addition to their lectures. They carried out an exchange activity. Cultural and conversation with Egyptian students in the Chinese Language Department as part of the Confucius Institute activity. They also made tourist visits to many Egyptian archaeological and tourist attractions, visited many Egyptian cities and participated in some volunteer convoys to some Egyptian villages.

The students of Shanghai University also prepared a short documentary film that included their review of poetry verses in fluent Arabic and documented their lectures inside the halls of the Faculty of Al-Alsun. They also documented their visits to archaeological sites in Egypt during their educational trip at the college, and they sent a message through the documentary film entitled “Thank you, Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University,” and stressed the extent to which they benefited from the faculty’s professors and their transfer of Egyptian culture to China through their living with the Egyptian people.

At the end of the celebration, the students were handed certificates for obtaining the course in the presence of all the professors participating in this course.
