The Faculty of Al-Alsun hosts The Czech Ambassador

Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University, received His Excellency the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Cairo, Mr. Ivan Yukl, accompanied by Alder Sheikh Vondruska, the Cultural and Media Advisor at the Czech Embassy in Cairo, in the presence of Prof. Amr Ahmed Shatouri, in charge of managing the work of the Czech Language Department, and a group of the faculty staff and teaching assistants in the department.

During her speech, Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, reviewed the history of the founding of the Faculty of Al-Alsun and the number of credit hour programs, and stressed that the Faculty of Al-Alsun is the window to the world from and to Egypt, and through it, one learns about the civilizations and history of different nations, not just the language.

She emphasized that effective cooperation between the college and the Czech Embassy in Cairo allows for further advancement of the educational process and attracting foreign students to study at the college. It also allows the Czech people to get to know Egyptian civilization closely.

For his part, Mr. Ivan Yukl, the Czech Ambassador to Cairo, expressed his pride in the Faculty of Al-Alsun, praising the educational level he found. He presented the faculty library with a selection of books and scientific references designated for the students of the Czech Language Department at the college. He also discussed with Her Excellency aspects of cooperation between the embassy and the faculty in the field of supporting the study of the Czech language in Egypt.
