A simulated passive evacuation experiment for the fifth time at the Faculty of Specific Education

On Tuesday, 9/28/2023, the Faculty of Specific Education at Ain Shams University launched a passive evacuation experiment in cooperation between the Crisis and Disaster Management Unit, the Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty, and the Ambulance Department at the Medical Care Home, and in the presence of the University’s Civil Defense team led by Mr. Abdel Ghaffar Fouad, Deputy Director of Civil Defense.

The experiment was held under the patronage of Dr. Osama Al-Sayed Mustafa, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Mohamed Farag, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Atefi, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit, and Dr. Ayat Anwar, Director of the Crisis and Disaster Management Unit at the Faculty.

The experiment began with an alarm siren throughout the faculty, followed by immediate and rapid movement of all students, faculty staff, employees, and workers to the assembly areas and the entry of the ambulance for those who tested negative. This was followed by a whistle, after which everyone returned to their desks and the school day continued.
