Ain Shams University won a number of awards in the activities of the University Youth Week in its thirteenth session

Ain Shams University achieved victory in many fields of activities during the activities of the Egyptian Universities and Higher Institutes Youth Week in its 13th session, which was organized by Helwan University from the eighth to the fourteenth of this September, under the patronage of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs.

Under the supervision of Prof. Mamdouh Abdel Aleem, Advisor to the Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Hatem Rabie, leader of the Students for Egypt family and head of the Ain Shams University delegation, Mr. Tariq Ahmed, Acting Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare, in the presence of Maryam Khaled, President of the Ain Shams University Union.

         
   
         

The sports activity at Ain Shams University won and gained many points under the leadership and supervision of Mr. Muhammad Hassan, Director of the Sports Activity Department, and Captain Fatima Khalifa, Girls Volleyball Supervisor. Student Manar Magdy won first place in the long jump competition, and student Manar Magdy won third place in the high jump competition under the training of Captain Karim and under the supervision of Captain Sherry Edward.

In addition to the victory of the Ain Shams team over the Tanta team 34/55 in girls’ basketball and its rise to the semi-finals under the training of Captain Ahmed Mahdi and the supervision of Captain Islam Ahmed, as well as the victory of Ain Shams University in volleyball, students 1/2 over Mansoura University under the supervision of Captain Yasser Abd El Hadi and Captain Mohamed Lotfy, and the girls’ basketball team won over the Kafr El-Sheikh team 45/17 under the leadership of Captain Ahmed Mahdi, and under the supervision of Captain Islam Ahmed.

         
   
         

In the field of social activity, under the supervision of Mr. Salem Ahmed, Activity Director, and Mr. Haitham Mahrous, Social Activity Supervisor, Ain Shams University won in the seventh round of chess students over Banha and Ismailia Universities, and in the eighth round, male and female chess students, Ain Shams University won over Al-Azhar, Menoufia, Banha and Damanhour.

This is in addition to the conclusion of the Ideal Student Competition, the displaying of each student’s presentation, the completion of the medical convoys in the City of Flowers on May 15, and the city’s residents being examined.

The scientific activity students made outstanding progress, under the supervision of Mr. Talaat Abdo, Director of Scientific and Technological Activity, and Mr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, responsible for the judging activity of the Integrated Scientific Exhibition, and Ain Shams’ participation was tangible, prominent, and distinguished in the activities of the Universities Youth Week.

In cultural activity, under the supervision of Mr. Mohamed Taha, Director of Cultural Activity and Communications Officer, Mr. Mohamed Abdel Fattah and Mr. Karim Wajiya and Mrs. Hoda Radi, cultural activity supervisors, the university participated in the classical poetry and Arabic calligraphy competition.

In the technical activity, under the administration of Mr. Mustafa Issa, Director of Technical Activity, led by Coach Mr. Mahmoud Sami, the band’s technical coach, and Mrs. Hind Hamed and Mrs. Hala Suleiman, activity supervisors, and Mr. Ziad Siddiq, Secretary of the University's Higher Artistic Committee, the exhibition and sculpture workshop presented by the youth of Ain Shams University, were opened.

Finally, the scout activity was completed under the supervision of Mrs. Asmaa Khater, Director of the Scouts Department, and Mrs. Iman Hassan, supervisor of the Ain Shams University Scouts, offers scouting performances, religious information, and scouting competitions, in addition to completing the summer parties that characterize the Ain Shams University Scouts.
